Grant funds: $290,030
This Project is being led by Armidale Urban Rivercare Group to rehabilitate a highly weed-infested section of Dumaresq Creek at Kennedy Street in Armidale NSW.
The WW2WW Project aims to remove exotic woody weeds, install a wetland to filter the creek water, and replant riparian areas with local indigenous native plants.
The Aquatic Ecology and Restoration Research Centre at the University of New England will partner with Armidale Urban Rivercare Group to design the wetland, while Armidale Tree Group will partner to select and grow riparian and wetland plants.
