How can art in our rural landscapes engage, inform, educate, or enable us to build identity, skills and knowledge and thrive as a community?
This question will be the focus of Southern New England Landcare’s Member Muster in Walcha on Wednesday evening 7th June.
Guest presenters will include Sandra Welsman, founder of ‘LandArtFarm’ near Armidale, Stephen King, artist and landcarer, and Mayor of Walcha Shire Eric Noakes who is also a long-time landcare member.

“The evening will begin with short presentations from each of our guest speakers,” said Karen Zirkler, Coordinator with Southern New England Landcare.
“These presentations will be the inspiration for a session where guest speakers mix it up with participants in a workshop setting designed to network, share, and harvest the learnings of the last 25 years in our region,” she said.
There will also be an opportunity to find out what grants, workshops or field days might be able to assist you on your own property.
All members of SNELandcare and their friends are invited to a fun and informative evening, to be held at the Walcha Vet Supplies (upstairs), 8 Aberbaldie Rd Walcha, from 6-9pm on Wednesday 7th June.
Food and refreshments will be provided so RSVPs are essential to 02 6772 9123 or email mail@snelandcare.org.au by Sunday 4th June 2017.
