Calling all Walcha Local Government Area Residents - your input is requested.
Did you know, that 98% of the Walcha Local Government Area (LGA) is Bushfire Prone, which classifies it as a Disaster Risk Area?
Disasters are becoming more common; managing risks and impacts of the next disaster has never been more critical.
Walcha has a new Disaster Risk Reduction Coordinator - Kruthika Nagananda. Many of you will have already met her and she is looking forward to working with you to minimise the risk.
Kruthika is asking that all residents of the Walcha Local Government Area participate in a survey questionnaire that will help to guide Walcha Council on how best to focus our resources to manage risk in our LGA. Now is the time to make your voice count.
