    Decision-making for resilient pastures

Newsletter image 320The University of New England, in partnership with Southern New England Landcare and GLENRAC Inc has developed a set of resources to help groups work to strengthen farmers' decision-making skills to better manage climate variability.

While farmers can make well-informed decisions about pasture assessments and grazing decisions, unpredictable factors like market shifts or equipment failures sometimes affect outcomes.

This program focuses on helping farmers make consistent, solid decisions by providing practical tools, knowledge, and a network of support.

Developed as part of the Drought Resilient Pasture Landscapes project (2022-24), which received funding from the Australian Government’s Future Drought Fund, the coaching toolkit includes a trainer’s manual, coaching handbook and participant’s manual.

The website is home to a host of other resources, including case studies, participant testimonials and pasture assessment guides, check it out today.
