    AURGs busy volunteer bees

WBee group320Last Sunday’s AURG Working Bee was most productive and a great success. The weather was kind with everyone enjoying the sunshine.

The working bee involved planting and mulching, with a general tidy up of the site, located on the northern side of the creek near the corner of Jeffrey and Douglas Streets, in Armidale.

The trusty team of AURG volunteers did a great job with the new plantings.

AURG contactors & volunteers have also been making steady progress removing Prickly Acacia on the northern creekside, despite the wet conditions, as part of the preparation for the Weedy Wasteland to Wildlife Wetland project. See images below.

Many thanks to Inglis Plumbing for support with equipment, and manpower to remove some stumps in the way.

If you would like to join the volunteers next time, the future working bee dates are:

    • Sunday 9 October
    • Sunday 13 November

We will have more information about these events closer to the date.
