    Grants & Funding

    Wettenhall Small Environmental Grants

    Value: Up to $10,000
    Opening date: 1st December 2021
N.B. EOI's should be submitted as close to the opening date as possible, because when there are enough suitable applicants, the round is closed.
    Held by: Wettenhall Environment Trust

Wettenhall Environment Trust (WET): Providing support for people undertaking projects that will make a positive difference to the natural living environment, in land, sea or air, rural or urban.

WET are currently looking for projects to support around:

    • flora and fauna conservation (Australia-wide)
    • threatened mammal conservation (Australia-wide)

These projects should involve any of the following:

    • monitoring, recording and sharing data
    • delivering community education
    • providing community capacity building (e.g. training)
    • research and science

Projects must be directly making positive changes to biodiversity conservation in Australia. They should have some short term outputs, but also have long term objectives and values.

Projects should show the following: enthusiasm, collaboration, passion, innovationET are keen to hear about your results, so you must be prepared to submit a final report when your project is completed.

WET cannot fund individual property owners. According to their constitution, they cannot fund wildlife rescue or rehabilitation organisations and their activities.

Click here for full conditions for the WET grant.

So, is your project about Australian flora and fauna conservation or threatened mammal conservation?

    Do you have partners?

Is your project ready to go, and can you do it? Be sure before you apply.

Grants are usually under $10,000, but can be bigger. Don’t put $10,000 in your total line and make your budget add up to this figure. WET are nothing like a government agency, and they want to see EXACTLY where you need help. Refer here for previously awarded grants.

There are opening dates for these grant rounds – this is when the online application form appears ‘live’ on their website.

Submit an Expression of Interest, by applying here. If your EOI is accepted, then you’ll be supplied with a closing date for submitting your full application.

So get EOI's submitted as close to the opening date as possible, because when there are enough suitable applicants, the round is closed.

Date when the Round opened (application form appeared online): 1st December 2021 (funding released February 2022)
