Green Cestrum Alert

518326537 1167219435442496 7431445003010231295 nGreen Cestrum (Cestrum parqui) has been found in the Thalgarrah area on Herbert Park Road.

This weed is highly poisonous to people, pets, livestock and native animals.

The weed was potentially brought into the property in vegetable potting mix, if you have used vegetable potting mix in the last 9-12 months and notice this plant growing, contact Armidale Regional Council immediately.

Green Cestrum is listed as an eradication species for the Armidale region and currently no other locations are known for this weed.

The known plant has been destroyed by the landholder.

Help us find and stop the spread of this highly poisonous invasive plant.

E SUCHPR 250806 ImageCSIRO is a leader in agricultural innovation, supported by our research farms around Australia, including at Chiswick on Anaiwan Country, near Armidale in NSW.

The Sustainable Chiswick Project is making this livestock research farm a real-world testbed for agricultural sustainability. This project covers all aspects of sustainability, including environmental, social, and economic.

You're invited to our Chiswick site for a special project day where we will share our aspirations for this project and its activities.

Feral Cat and Fox Management Online Forum

 The National Feral Cat and Fox Management Coordination Program are running two, day-long free online forums dedicated to sharing knowledge on effective fox and feral cat management on the 20th and 21st of August.

One day will be focused on the management of fox impacts and the other on feral cat management.

Sessions will include a number of case studies from around Australia, best practice tool use, new tools and tech and how to engage your local community.
