Gordon Williams named 2024 JWI Bequest Recipient

Gordon and Wendy WilliamsGordon Williams has been named the 2024 John Winter Irving Bequest Recipient at the 2024 Southern New England Landcare AGM on 13 November 2024.

Gordon lives with his wife Wendy at their property ‘Eastlake’ near Uralla, where they have hosted numerous field events for Landcare and Local Land Services over the years.

Decision-making for resilient pastures

Newsletter image 320The University of New England, in partnership with Southern New England Landcare and GLENRAC Inc has developed a set of resources to help groups work to strengthen farmers' decision-making skills to better manage climate variability.

While farmers can make well-informed decisions about pasture assessments and grazing decisions, unpredictable factors like market shifts or equipment failures sometimes affect outcomes.
