After more than 22 years operating under its original governing document, on the 14th August, 2024, Southern New England Landcare Ltd adopted a new constitution at a special general meeting held at the Uralla Community Centre.

The old constitution, which was adopted in 2002, was no longer fit for purpose and required a substantial review, which took place during the first half of 2024.

Landcare is excited to partner with Bupa this month to plant 75,000 native trees and shrubs across Australia as part of Bupa’s 2024 Healthy Cities Challenge.

This funding opportunity aims to enhance both environmental health and community wellbeing.

If you’re with a landcare group, ‘Friends-of’, Coastcare, WildCare, Dunecare, Bushcare group, or any other environmental organisation, this is your chance to get involved.

Traditional Owners, First Nations organisations, local governments, NRM organisations, and non-profits are also encouraged to apply.

NSW Farmers is urging support for a pro-farming rally in Canberra on 10 September to oppose decisions they say threaten Australia's food and fibre production.

NSW Farmers President Xavier Martin stated that the rally outside Parliament House is a critical moment to challenge policies undermining the farming sector and to protect food security.
