Climate Adaptation Practices sharing with QUT

zcbWwf0ASouthern New England Landcare has been approached by PhD candidate Chi Le, from the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) seeking farmers in the New England to interview as part of a research project into Climate Adaptation Practices.

This project is seeking to understand how local producers like you adapt to climate disruptions and how Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) can support and sustain producer livelihoods and food production.

Workshop helps farmers lower emissions

IMG 4404 640UNE together with Landcare groups, Southern New England Landcare and GLENRAC Inc., delivered a series of Calculating Carbon workshops, as part of the Drought Resilient Pasture Landscapes (DRPL) project, that educated landholders on sustainable farming and the potential benefits it can have on productivity, profits and emissions.

“Practices that lower greenhouse gas emissions form part of good farm management and have benefits for both sustainability and productivity,” says project lead Professor Lewis Kahn.
