SNEL Launches Drought Resilience Programs in Walcha with Special Resilience Dinner

EB header imageSouthern New England Landcare is thrilled to announce the launch of several new initiatives aimed at bolstering drought resilience in the Walcha area, thanks to a series of grants recently secured by the organization.

The first of these initiatives is scheduled for Friday, 31st of May with a Walcha Resilience Dinner, starting at 6:00 PM at the Walcha Rams Clubhouse.

This event will feature talks from Renae Hanvin from Resilient Ready and Anna Hughes from the Lachlan Hughes Foundation.

Guyra Family Nature Night a Ribbiting Success

ORY Guyra Emily from Australian Museum demonstrating 320Family Nature Night held at Mother of Ducks Lagoon, during the Autumn break, brought together over 25 families for an evening packed with fun.

The Southern New England Landcare organized event, held on Tuesday, April 16th, with presentations from guest experts from the Australian Museum and the Northern Tablelands Local Land Services.

New England Renewable Energy Zone Transmission Project update

As an interested party in the New England Renewable Energy Zone (REZ), EnergyCo is reaching out to share the release of a revised study corridor for the New England REZ transmission project.

We have been consulting with industry, landowners and communities on a study corridor for the New England REZ transmission project since June 2023.
This feedback, along with information gathered from field investigations, has resulted in several changes to the preliminary study corridor.

A revised study corridor is available to view on our interactive map, and you can view the project update on our website.

Research Study: Mapping Australian One Health Activities and Expertise

We are writing to invite you and your network to participate in a research study about Australian One Health Activities and Expertise. The research is being conducted by Queensland University of Technology, Australia (QUT) and is supported by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade Indo-Pacific Centre for Health Security (see attached letter of support).
