SNELC Events

Renew your membership via www.snelandcare.org.au

Signing up as a SNELC member is easy via our website. Just click on MEMBERSHIP towards the top right hand side of our Home Page. You will then need to choose the 'Membership Signup' for the first time round, even if you have been a SNELC member previously, utilising our old way of collecting subscriptions. Choose a membership category which suits you and pay using Paypal, Direct EFT to our bank account or by coming into the office to pay using a cheque or cash.  Please let us know if you need help, as we can assist you over the phone (6772 9123) or by email, or in person at the office.

Equine Management on Small Acreages

Farm-Link to Provide Healthy Living & Suicide Prevention Skills

Farm-Link together with SNELandcare, GWYMAC Landcare and local councils are providing free healthy living and suicide prevention skills for people in local communities. The format will be a short friendly workshop on ways you can support yourself and others. These are free events. Tea, coffee & light refreshments will be available for a gold coin donation.

The main entrance to the SNELC office is now from up the steel staircase at the rear of our building, on the southern side of Coles carpark. This is more practical for many of our customers, as it gives them the utilises convenience of Coles Carpark and utilises a much more bright and warm part of our premises.

Funding, Competitions, Scholarships
National Landcare Programme Community Grants

These grants are offered to give organisations, groups and individuals the financial capacity to support events, training or capacity building activities that increase community resilience. Groups can be farmer or producer groups, 'friends of' or 'care' groups or other community environment groups, indigenous communities or individual landholders working in the landcare or NRM sector. Unincorporated groups must be sponsored by an incorporated organisation.

Eligable activities include: succession planning, leadership development, farmer to farmer mentoring for practice change, fostering regenerating community groups, planning sessions, partnerhsip projects between community organisations, schools, local council.

Fish Habitat Action Grants Available

Anyone interested in rehabilitating fish habitats in NSW can apply for a Habitat Action Grant from the Recreational Fishing Trusts. Projects suitable for funding include rehabilitation of riparian lands, removal of exotic vegetation from waterways, bank stabilisation works, work o barrier to fish passage, re-snagging waterways an reinsttement of natural flows. Funding applications must relate to the enhancement of recreational fishing by improving fish habitat. Applications can be for large grants (to $40,000) or small grants (to $2,000). Further details can be obtained from www.dpi.nsw.gov.au/hag or by phoning Scott Nichols 02 6626 1396 or Kylie Russell 4916 3817. Closes 30th September 2016.


Armidale Regional Council Community Grants

 Stronger Communities Fund Community Grants

Armidale Regional Council is calling for applications from not-for-profit community organisiations for funding to support local projects which provide social, cultural, environmental or economic benefits to local communities and address an identified community priority.

Applications can be for up to $50,000 but need a clear budget and th applicant must have demonstrated capacity to manage funds.
