Strategic Plan UpdatedThe board of Southern New England Landcare conducted their annual Strategic Plan Review workshop on 20th April 2022. While most content has remained relevant and unchanged, the Southern New England Landcare Strategic Plan (2022) includes updates to the context in which we operate, given the implementation of the New England Renewable Energy Zone. |
Rehydrating the Landscape
Welcoming The Mulloon Institute to "Urandangie", SNEL's Board Member, Bill Perrottet kindly opened his Black Mountain property, for The Mulloon Institute's workshop, Landscape Rehydration Fundamentals, on Friday 3 June. This field day was hosted by the Malpas Catchment Group, a sub group of Southern New England Landcare.

Some 30 people attended the event and afterwards enjoyed a light supper and networking, catered by Michael's Cafe in Uralla (left). |

Historical Soil Data Capture Payments ProgramThe Australian Government has engaged Southern Cross University as a data broker for the Historical Soil Data Capture Payments Program, to engage with data owners, collate soil test data, and share the data with the Australian Government. |
Pilot Soil Monitoring and Incentives ProgramThe Australian Government is providing $54.4 million over two years to support farmers and land managers to access low-cost soil sampling and certified testing in exchange for sharing their data under the Pilot Soil Monitoring and Incentives Program. Program: open now for applications. |
