Special Disaster Grants for NSW Severe Weather & Flooding
Funding: up to $75,000* for Primary Producers

Financial grants for flood-affected Northern Rivers residents

The St Vincent de Paul Society is offering emergency assistance grants to impacted individuals. 
Amounts of: $1,000, $2,000, or $3,000 are being provided to flood-affected residents, depending on criteria including the level of damage their property has sustained, the size of the family, and insurance status.

Vinnies is also opening three Northern Rivers flood assistance centres.

Commonwealth-State Disaster Recovery Funding  *NEW

Commonwealth-State Disaster Recovery Funding Assistance is being provided through the jointly funded Commonwealth-State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) Cat D.

This initial $434.7 million of funding, from the Commonwealth and New South Wales governments, will be provided to support communities clean up and remove damage and debris, as well as further support local government areas (LGAs) that have been flood-affected.

Grants of up to $75,000 for primary producers and up to $50,000 for small businesses, and not for profit organisations devastated by flooding will soon be available through NSW Government agencies, with registration now open through Service NSW. This program will be demand driven.

EOI's called for Planting Trees for The Queen's Jubilee

*NEW

Community-based tree planting events will be held across Australia, in 2022, to mark the Jubilee (70 years of service) of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.

EOI’s close: Monday, 11th April 2022.
Funding: $2,500 to $20,000.

Applicants selected from successful EOI's will be invited to apply for grants by their local MP.

*NEW

Funding available: total of $245,000 which will be shared across 20 zones* in the Essential Energy network area.
Nominations close: by midnight (AEST) on Sunday 3rd April 2022.

Open to Individuals: Australian citizens and permanent residents of all ages.

Apply for grants: between $5,000 and $100,000.
Submissions close: 4th April 2022, at 4:00PM (AEST)

The 2022 round of the NSW Environmental Trust’s Protecting Our Places grants program is now open to Aboriginal communities around NSW.

Grant funding: up to $80,000 available over two stages.*
Applications close: Friday, 8th April 2022, by 5pm.

As part of the NSW Government’s $200 million Regional Recovery Package, $5 million has been committed to the 2022 Country Shows Support Package to help country shows bounce back bigger and better than ever. 

Applications for the Country Shows Support Package are open.

Some financial assistance is available for the landowners hit by the Armidale storm (tornado") on the 14th October 2021.

Low interest loans: up to $130,000.
Loan applications: open until 18th April 2022.

This Disaster Relief Grant is administered by Resilience NSW. Financial assistance to eligible individuals and families whose homes have been damaged by a natural disaster.
