Bushfire affected communities are suffering from high-stress levels, emotional burnout and heavy thoughts. Lifeline want to assist devastated communities at Dorrigo and Nymboida in building psychological resilience through some targeted training and support. Fully funded Psychological First Aid workshops will provide the tools to help your community members in this time of need.

  • Stream 1: On-Ground litter prevention projects - $4,000 to $40,000
  • Stream 2: Own It and Act partnership projects - $50,000 to $90,000

To help deliver the NSW Government target to reduce litter by 40% by 2020. More information here.

FRRR News Corp Bushfire Fund Grants

Funds: $25,000

News Corp has partnered with FRRR to enable the delivery of grants up to $25,000. This support is for local not-for-profit organisations and community groups that are delivering locally led projects and activities to assist people in their recovery as a result of the 2019/2020 bushfires. The Strengthening Rural Communities (SRC) program aims to give the thousands of small rural, regional and remote communities across Australia an opportunity to access funding to support broad community needs. Emergency Drought Transport Subsidy Round 3

Guidelines for Round 3 of the NSW Rural Assistance Authority Emergency Drought Transport Subsidy have now been released:

  • Applications for Round 3 of the Drought Transport Subsidy are open from 1 July 2020.
  • Eligible primary producers can claim up to a maximum of $25,000 up to 31 December 2020, subject to funds being available. Claims can only be paid until the closing date or earlier if available funds are exhausted.
  • From the 1 July 2020, the subsidy has been expanded to include transport of purchased stock to a farm business.

A reminder that all Round 2 movements must be submitted to the Rural Assistance Authority by 30th September 2020.

NSW DPI's Recovery Hub is an overview of resources available to support primary producers as they transition from drought to recovery, and recommencement of normal operations.
