Activities such as energy efficiency and waste reduction, environmental monitoring, education and/or rehabilitation, regeneration works are important contributors to the overall state of the environment.
As such Council invites submissions from individuals or organisations like community groups, schools, and businesses outlining their environmental activities and achievements during 2016 - 2020 for inclusion in the State of the Environment Report.
Closing Date: Friday, 26 February 2021, by 5pm.
All Councils within NSW must produce an annual State of the Environment Report and Armidale Regional Council is preparing its State of the Environment Report for 2016-2020.
This is a report to the community on progress with meeting environmental goals and targets in the Armidale Regional Council Community Strategic Plan 2017-2027. Environmental goals set by the community relate to:
- protecting and preserving the unique climate, landscape and environment of the region;
- community participation in initiatives which contribute to a sustainable lifestyle;
- reducing carbon and greenhouse gas emissions;
- improving air quality;
